Review of “Kremlin greenhouses” models “Fairy Tale”, “Star”, “Lux” and “Bogatyr”

It is not without reason that the beautiful and powerful Kremlin greenhouse is considered the strongest on the domestic market. Its frame consists of a 20x20 mm profile pipe with rather original super-reinforced intermediate arches - double arches. These are the so-called “double arcs”, consisting of two parallel pipes, which ensure the reliability of the greenhouse. The Kremlevskaya kit includes: a frame, 2 windows, 2 doors, polycarbonate with fasteners (screws) and instructions for assembly. The height of the greenhouse itself is 2.10 meters, the width is 3 meters and the length is any, if desired, a multiple of 2. Its entire frame is painted with frost-resistant powder paint, resistant to constant moisture. The cheapest series of Kremlin greenhouses is “Lux”, “Fairy Tale” has straight walls, and “Bogatyr” has a significantly reinforced frame - arcs every 65 cm from a 20x20 mm pipe.

Features of assembling these greenhouses

It is known that the most durable and most efficient greenhouses made of polycarbonate - Kremlevskaya is among the best among them. After all, it was developed by talented Moscow designers using duplication technology: parallel pipes are bent and then fastened together with strong jumpers.

The Kremlevskaya frame itself contains a minimum of parts, and therefore assembly can be done literally in a day without outside help. And it’s better to put “Kremlevskaya” on a foundation.

But this also happened: during assembly, the internal arches were simply not inserted into each other, and customers had to unbend them manually - and this took a lot of effort and time. However, now the manufacturers have already corrected themselves and eliminated this defect. You can also sometimes hear that there are not enough screws to secure the polycarbonate - but this can only happen if you buy a greenhouse from “gray” resellers. Official stores monitor their reputation and do not make such mistakes.

So, let's talk about the actual stages of installation. Before starting to assemble the greenhouse, you need to find a flat piece of land and use hand protection to avoid possible injuries.

The assembly itself is not difficult, the main thing is to carry it out first without tightening the connections - the final tightening will be only after complete assembly. After which the covering is installed - cellular polycarbonate. But in order for it to last for a long time, its open channels must be protected from moisture, dust, insects and algae with special tapes and profiles, which must be purchased separately.

The installation step of intermediate arches is one meter. To increase the load-bearing capacity, the frame is reinforced with trusses, which are connected to each other by nine metal girders - but they must be in the same plane with them, and not under the arcs. The spacing of the jumpers between the arches is 65 cm and 100 cm.

To check: if everything was done correctly, the cellular polycarbonate will rest on both the ties and the arcs at the same time. This reinforcement of 9 ties, by the way, provides excellent protection even from Siberian snowdrifts.

During work, you will need the usual plumbing tools: wrenches (socket and socket), Phillips or slotted screwdriver, pliers, tape measure, drill-driver and 4-5 centimeter drills.

Assembly example on video:

Cutting cellular polycarbonate

The stiffening ribs are located along the cellular polycarbonate sheet. Therefore, the panel must be installed vertically so that the condensation that accumulates inside flows down to the ground.

Parts of the end frame structure can be used as patterns when cutting. The part is applied to a sheet of cellular polycarbonate, outlined with a marker and cut out with a knife or jigsaw.

Please note that it is better to cut the door panel in place to avoid cracks and gaps.

Greenhouse "Kremlevskaya-Bogatyr"

The newest greenhouse Kremlin Bogatyr is the most durable of this series, the arcs in it are installed with smaller pitches. This is the kind of design that is not afraid of heavy snowfalls or strong winds. Such a greenhouse, of course, costs a lot. But it will serve for a very long time - the frame can survive even polycarbonate.

Of course, the strongest arch is a solid one, because it has a much greater load-bearing capacity when exposed to serious loads than a prefabricated one. But a prefabricated arc is much more convenient to transport to a summer cottage, whereas a solid one can only be taken away from the store by truck.

But that “weak spot” where the connections are located should not be ignored, although this is exactly what the Kremlevskaya greenhouse has - it compensated for this deficiency with the latest arc manufacturing technology, which is combined with an innovative “spider” type fastening system - “Krabs-System”.

Greenhouse "Kremlevskaya-Lux"

The Kremlevskaya-Lux frame is made of a pipe with a cross-section of 20x20 mm and a threshold of 25x50 mm, and therefore is capable of withstanding a snow load of more than 234 kg/sq.m. The choice of such a section was motivated by the manufacturer by the fact that over the past two years, the snow load standards for metal structures have increased by 50%, which not all greenhouses with a single arch can withstand.

The installation of this greenhouse is carried out using overhead plates, which are tightened together with bolts - this is the so-called cross fastening, which increases the reliability of the frame by 1.5 times and greatly simplifies the entire installation.

The entire frame, when disassembled, can be easily transported in a regular passenger car. In addition to the standard contents, its kit also includes 2 windows with special stops for ventilating the greenhouse.

Today, the Kremlevskaya-Lux greenhouse is the most affordable of its series, especially since you can buy it from just 2 meters in length. And they provide a guarantee of up to 8 years.

Frame installation

Have you decided to install the greenhouse yourself? It's quite simple.

Start by installing the frame. You need to choose a suitable flat place. We install the base by connecting two-meter guides according to the “male-female” principle and fastening them with 5.5x19 roofing screws. As a result, we have two four-meter guides with five “receivers” (4-meter greenhouse).

After this, we assemble the ends and arcs using a profile pipe, using the “male-male” principle and roofing screws. Then the ends and arcs are installed on the “receiving” bases and secured using 5.5x19 roofing screws.

Then the ties are installed. For this, spider plates are used (on arches they are installed with the middle edge down, at the ends - with the middle edge to the side).

Window windows can be installed in any opening (except for the outermost one), while the spiders above the window are installed with the stream facing upwards. The window itself is attached to two hinges, using 3.9x19 self-tapping screws. After the vents, you need to install the doors, 30 cm away from the top and bottom edges.

Greenhouse "Kremlevskaya-Zvezda"

The Kremlin Star, famous and adored among gardeners, is a very durable greenhouse. It can withstand a truly colossal load - 250 kg per 1 m!

Counterfeits of this series of greenhouses have also appeared on the market. They can be found under the following names: “Kremlin Star” and “Kremlin Star 2012”. They don't even have factory packaging or a branded box for accessories. And, of course, no passport with a warranty period - therefore, when choosing a greenhouse, you need to be especially careful and carefully check the name.

Greenhouse “Kremlevskaya-Skazka”

The unusual Kremlin Fairy Tale greenhouse is famous for its high strength and strong coating. Its frame is tubular, 20x20, made of stainless steel with a protective coating. The height of the greenhouse is 1.95 m, and the width is 2.70. Thanks to these dimensions, its internal space is very convenient for equipping two beds with a furrow between them, and the vertical straight side walls can be used for shelves and for more favorable growth of tall plants.

There are a total of four ventilation points in this greenhouse, which ensures the most optimal microclimate and thorough air circulation. But the double arcs of the “Fairy Tale” are fastened together with 11 ties, which makes its frame super-durable.

“Kremlevskaya-Skazka” is a more modernized version of the series of two-arch greenhouses. It copes well even with the critical snow and wind loads of Siberia.

Independent modernization of such greenhouses

Despite the heavy-duty design of the “Kremlin” greenhouse, in the snowiest regions of Russia it will not be hindered by wooden supports installed for the winter. The percentage that the roof will sag under tons of snow is, of course, small, but hardly anyone dreams of getting into this percentage.

Firstly, the most experienced gardeners who have a Kremlevskaya greenhouse on their site advise, for greater reliability, to weld all the joints of its frame - instead of using self-tapping screws. This design will stand without any supports even in Antarctica. Secondly, it is advisable to make a foundation for such a powerful and expensive greenhouse, at least from timber.

Another tip: it’s better to insert the cellular polycarbonate in Kremlevskaya not overlapping, but through an H-profile - it will look much better. All you need to do for this is to spray silicone grease from a can into the grooves of the profile, and wipe the end of the polycarbonate with spit. And finally, you need to independently protect both the bottom of the frame and the bottom of the cellular polycarbonate from the influence of rain and snow. Manufacturers provide a guarantee for strong and durable Kremlevskaya greenhouses for at least 7 years.

Review

We thought we would do it well, but it worked out. .. The product was a little out of season (05/12/2017), but the Mosteplica company accepted the order and agreed to installation without any problems. I ordered a small greenhouse “Tsarskaya Skazka” 2.5x4 m, in the maximum configuration with a foundation (timber) and assembly. This is the first greenhouse in my life and therefore I ordered it on a call back from the company because many questions required clarification. The manager explained everything, accepted the order, and calculated the cost. Greenhouse in the database RUB 23,500. in my case 42910 rubles. Expensive, but I wanted to get a completely finished design, and that’s what I’m paying for. I received an SMS with the total cost and order number. As it turned out later, the manager did not include in the order the fastening of the foundation to the ground that I had voiced, but I did not notice this when listening to the final calculation over the phone. A team of 2 people, on the day of installation, called in the morning and were on site 1.5 hours later. They work carefully, quickly, and respectfully. For all 2.5 hours. The greenhouse itself is excellent, the frame looks and feels reliable, the welds and hinges are fastened without any complaints. Assembly: 1. The foundation beam was laid on the ground, the diagonals were aligned and fastened. One corner hangs a little in the air, the area is flat, but of course not so smooth that everything fits perfectly at once. My proposal to dig was rejected; the collector found several pieces of board in a neighboring area and slipped them under the greenhouse. This was disappointment number 1 - my greenhouse for 43 thousand rubles. standing on some rubble. 2. We assembled the frame and covered it with polycarbonate. There is nothing to say here, practice will show. It does not matter. 3. When ordering, a protective tape and an end profile were ordered to cover the ends of the polycarbonate. This is what was done, but only on the lower part of the greenhouse. In response to my question to the installer about the top of the greenhouse, and there is the end of the wall and the end edge of the roof canopy, the installer confidently answered me that this is not provided for. This was disappointment number 2 - I figured out what the roof and walls of the greenhouse would look like in a year for 43 thousand rubles. when all sorts of nasty stuff gets in there. 4. Theoretically imagining the ventilation scheme for the greenhouse, I ordered two additional windows with automatic openings. Discussing this issue with the manager when ordering. Because, according to the manager, the machine is not installed on door windows. And he intended to install them diagonally on the edges of opposite walls. But the installer stated that it was impossible to install the vents in the outer sections and as a result the vents stood almost one against the other with a slight offset. This was disappointment number 3 - for 43 thousand rubles. I received a design that I did not order. 5. After installing the automatic closing frame, the side windows themselves do not close completely and they must either be supported with something or agree to eternal ventilation. At the same time, the installer assured that this is how it should be. Nonsense, but perhaps this will be fixed after installing the machine itself in the spring, we'll see. But for now this is disappointment number 4. In the end, I bought it for 43 thousand rubles. a greenhouse with a foundation and assembly which, with the help of 4 people, I will move to the side, level the site and move it back. I purchased a “ready-made” greenhouse for which I will go to the nearest store, buy an additional end profile and tape, unscrew the edges of the polycarbonate and install everything as expected. I purchased a “high-quality” greenhouse in which I need to unscrew the additional vents, throw out the damaged polycarbonate sheets and install the vents in the right place, purchasing several meters of polycarbonate. And since the “finished” greenhouse will have to be completely remodeled, I will buy additional normal thermal washers, which will significantly extend its service life. Information for MosTeplitsa: order mos901, delivery note 8653 dated 12/4/2017, installation 12/5/2017.
