High-quality and regular watering is a necessary condition for the growth and development of plants and, accordingly, the key to a rich harvest. Moisture is especially necessary for crops that are grown in a greenhouse, where rain cannot be counted on. Today, to solve this issue, many gardeners choose the Belarusian-made “Aqua-Dusya” system (the correct spelling is “Aqua-Dusya”), which is increasingly gaining popularity. It is intended for drip watering of plants in a greenhouse or in open ground. Installing the system is quite simple; you just need to follow the recommendations described in the instructions.
Important! "Aqua-Dusya" is available in three versions: for automatic, semi-automatic and non-automatic watering of plants.
Features of the Aqua-Dusya system
With the help of “Aqua-Dusi”, plants are watered using the drip method, water is delivered directly to the root of each bush. With this method, water consumption is significantly reduced, a crust does not form on the soil, and plants receive the air necessary for their development. Hoses are cut in the required quantity and size, taking into account the location of the plantings in a particular area. The electronic starter is battery operated.
System "Aqua-Dusya"
The Aqua-Dusya drip irrigation system is quite simple to assemble and operate. It is programmed to supply water to the plant in the required volume at a certain frequency. The starter starts at a specified time in the morning or evening. Thus, “AquaDusya” provides an optimal mode of automatic watering of plants, which is set taking into account the needs of a specific crop. The manufacturer's instructions contain recommendations on the frequency with which it is necessary to water the main garden plantings.
“AquaDusya”, an automatic micro-drip irrigation system, is especially relevant for greenhouses. The moisture requirement of greenhouse plants is much higher than that of those growing outdoors. Heat-loving crops are grown in the greenhouse, which are especially important to water with non-cold water.
Advantages of the AquaDusya system:
- Suitable for plants that require watering with cold water.
- Runs on water supply
- Can be used to automatically fill a barrel in the AquaDusya Start system.
- Automates watering your beds with tap water.
- Operates autonomously on one set of batteries (2 AAA batteries).
- Suitable for plants that can be watered with cold water, because... water comes directly from the water supply.
- The drip irrigation system is designed for installation in your garden.
- Connects to a water source under pressure of at least 0.3 atmospheres.
- The most convenient way to connect is directly to the water supply, the pressure in which is usually in the range from 1 to 4 atmospheres.
- It is possible to connect to a barrel of water, but this will require lifting the barrel to a height of at least 3 meters to achieve a pressure of 0.3 atmospheres.
- Waters in portions of 1/3/5/10/15/20/30/60/90/120 minutes (your choice) with a watering frequency of 1/2/3/4/6/8/12/24/48/72 hours or once a week (your choice).
- Droppers are placed under each plant, or evenly throughout the bed.
- Pencil-type drippers - deliver water directly to the root zone of plants. There are no passage holes on the droppers, and there is nothing to get tightly clogged there.
- All hoses are deep black in color - the water does not discolor from the sun and does not clog the droppers.
Operating principle
"AquaDusya" is available in several versions. The AquaDusya Start, AquaDusya Water TAP 2 and AquaDusya 60 models differ in the method of filling the barrel with water and the starting principle. Each option includes hoses of different calibers and a set of droppers that deliver liquid to the roots.
Operating principle
Watering Hunter
The water in the barrel is heated naturally. On average, its consumption per plant is 2 liters at a time. The operating time of the system during watering is from 60 to 120 minutes. Then the cycle is repeated according to the established program. The irrigation mode is set on the electronic control unit.
“AquaDusya” works as follows: during the day the water in the barrel is heated in the sun, in the evening at a given time the start is triggered and automatic watering starts.
The pump is started briefly so that water fills the hose thrown over the edge of the barrel. This principle of starting the system allows you to get by with one set of batteries throughout the entire season.
Note! The manufacturer recommends using lithium batteries. They are not afraid of temperature changes and also hold a charge for a long time.
The barrel must be installed on a hill so that watering is carried out due to the difference in height. Gravity flow from a water tank occurs even with a minimal difference; 10 cm will be enough.
The Aquadusya machine is convenient for those who do not have the opportunity to be outside the city all the time. Having installed the system, all that remains is to control and promptly replenish the water reserves in the barrel.

The AquaDusya system is designed to automate irrigation on open plots of land or in greenhouses.
It operates autonomously on batteries, drawing water from the water supply and providing water to plants that need watering. Using the system's existing drippers, the system supplies water equally distributed across the beds or directly to each plant. To operate the irrigation system, you only need a set of two batteries and connect it to a water supply or to a barrel of water, which must be installed at a height of 1 m above the ground. Automate the care of your garden plants by choosing the most suitable mode.
Installation Cons
Drip irrigation "Beetle"
The system uses very thin hoses that can easily become clogged. To prevent such blockage, use a special foam filter, which is installed on the inlet part of the hose immersed in the barrel. If a blockage occurs, simply remove the foam and clean it.

Equipment for the Aqua-Dusya installation
The kit includes:
- microfeed pump for sucking water from the barrel;
- customizable electronic irrigation control unit;
- transparent water level hose in the barrel with brackets for fastening;
- float for automation;
- micro hoses, pencil droppers and connecting elements.
The system includes a set of tees and hoses - splitters through which water flows.
Installation equipment
"AquaDusya" without automation combines all the advantages of drip irrigation and a low price. However, in this case you will need to start and stop the device yourself. This model is convenient for those who stay close to their garden all season and can water the plants on time.
Note! The manufacturer has created the AquaDusya Water Tap 2 system, which is connected to the water supply. Suitable for plants that can be watered with cold water. The device can also be connected to a barrel of water.
Review of the AquaDusya Start LCD kit
The system is supplied in hexagonal cardboard packaging. Weight about 1.5 kg. Therefore, transporting it to the dacha will not be difficult.
Pay attention to the integrity of the packaging - the new packaging is protected by a special sticker with the logo of the manufacturer.
This kit differs from the best-selling AquaDusya Start only in the control module - instead of jumpers, it has an LCD screen that simplifies setting up auto-watering modes.
So, the kit includes:
- pump (or rather 2 pumps in one housing) with a control unit;
- 50 droppers (2 bundles of 25 pieces);
- 4 different hoses;
- tire for bending the hose on top of the barrel;
- 25 tees for droppers;
- 1 tee for connecting all hoses near the barrel;
- float for organizing water supply;
- instructions and a sticker with the manufacturer's logo.
Separately, it is worth mentioning the hoses. Since I am well acquainted with other automatic watering systems, I can say with confidence that the hoses are excellent. They will “survive” more than one season!
The length of the supply hose is 12 m. This is quite enough to organize watering in a country greenhouse (2 lines can be installed in a greenhouse up to 6 m long). If you have a large greenhouse (more than 6 m long), then there are additional kits on sale without automation - only drippers and hoses:

Droppers and connecting tees also deserve high praise - high-quality plastic, without foreign odors.
What else is needed to start an irrigation system? Water, 8 AA batteries and a barrel. The manufacturer claims that a set of batteries should be enough for the entire season, since a feature of the device is its efficiency. In fact, during an hour-long watering session, the pumps are turned on for only 2 minutes - when the system starts and when it is turned off. But more on that below.
A barrel is needed with a height of 1.2 to 1.5 m and a minimum volume of 200 liters. Please note that during one watering session in standard mode, about 2-3 liters of water flows under one plant from each dropper. That is, if you install all 50 drippers, then to organize three waterings during the week (every 2 days) you will need a container with a volume of 300 to 450 liters.
If you do not have such a large barrel, and automatic watering must be carried out all week, you can do the following:
- adjust the duration of watering (set on the control unit);
- adjust the amount of water supplied to each plant (depending on how deep the dropper is inserted into the hose);
- organize the supply of water from the water supply directly into the barrel (the kit includes a float to which you can attach a hose with water from the water supply), but keep in mind that for this you will need to make a hole in the barrel.
Thus, even with a small barrel it will be possible to organize watering throughout the week.
DIY installation
Installing the Dusya irrigation system is quite simple. Algorithm of actions:
- The barrel is placed on a small elevation - 10-40 cm.
- The pump is installed on the bottom according to the instructions.
- The electronic unit is fixed externally.
- The splitter should be installed below the level of the barrel by 5-10 cm.
- 9/7 mm hoses are carried from the tee to the bed and laid along each of them. 6/4 mm hoses are laid perpendicular to them. They fit directly to each plant. The length is selected on site, taking into account the distance from the main hose to the plant. Droppers are installed under each bush.
- The first 2 hoses are lowered into the barrel.
- The required watering mode and its duration are set from 60 to 120 minutes.
“Aqua-Dusya” is ready. All that remains is to fill the barrel with water and ensure that it is full throughout the season.
Drip irrigation installation
Operating modes of the Aqua-Dusya system:
- 1 - every day;
- 2 - every other day;
- 3 - every third day;
- 4 - every fourth day;
- 7 - once a week.
The watering mode is also set in the evening or in the morning. The specified schedule can be changed if necessary.
At the end of the season, the system must be disassembled and stored in a dry place.
Additional Information! Currently, service centers have appeared in Russia to repair the Aqua-Dusya device, which can extend operation for several more seasons.
Gardeners note that the use of such a modern system leads to increased yields. It makes caring for plants much easier, leaving more free time for other household chores. The purchase costs quickly pay off. The system has significantly more advantages than disadvantages.
